A Chrome Extension To Unblock The Web

Installation Instructions

On your Chromebook, click the button above to download the latest version or go to this URL: https://bit.ly/web-bypass.
You may need to click "Keep" on the download.




Then, type chrome://extensions into the URL bar to go to the extensions page.




Next, open your Files and click and drag web-bypass.crx into the middle of the page.
Click 'Add Extension'




And... you're all set! To get started, click this icon next to your URL bar:

Troubleshooting Tips

If you're having trouble, try the following:

  1. You may need to enable developer mode on the extensions page (and then refresh the page)
  2. Make sure you have the extension enabled
  3. Ensure you have the latest version of the extension, if you do try reinstalling
  4. Make sure you're not dragging the file into the URL bar, and into the middle of the page
  5. Make sure the "Allow Proxies For Shared Networks" switch is toggled on
  6. Close out of any other applications that may be open
  7. Close out of any unnecessary tabs
  8. Restart Chrome
  9. Restart your whole computer
